Is trusting online reviews trustful?

I'm really tired today, I went to bed late last night and now I can't keep my eyes open. But I love looking at reviews online but it just depends on what im going to be searching up becasue some things people say isn't exactly true.

If you are interested in buying something but you want to look at reviews I would say look at the ratings of the person, some people may have five star ratings and have all positive feedback to what he says and only have one or two bad reviews. This would be a good review to look at because people liked what he said and gave him good ratings. But if your looking for a review about a resteraunt or a place you are planning on going to I wouldn't look at those because the ratings are on peoples opinions about the place, they could have said something bad about the place when there having a bad day or when they just got fired and wanted to write a bad revie. But in reality that place your looking at is really good and your just looking at a review that someone wrote because s/he was mad at the place. So looking at review can be very helpful at sometimes if your looking at the right person who wrote, if your looking for a review for somethings than it can be very helpful but for others its better if you try it yourself and not look at the ratings.
