Do teachers use technology well?

Hello everyone, how was your day today? mine was boring, like always, but it is a nice day and I wish I could go outside.. But going onto the topic for today, do your teachers know how to use technology well?

At my school most classes have a smart board like the one shown in the picture,

With this technology all the teachers are using them to the best ability. They show us students videos of something or even teach lessons on them. The question today is "do teachers use technology well? If not, how can technology be utilized better in the classroom?" I feel teachers do not use this technology well becasue they do not know how to use it most of the time. They only know how to do the basics like turn it on, pull up the internet or even use the sketch pad. But going more indept with the technology, like using youtube, many teachers do not even know how to minimize or pause a video. They would have to ask the student to do this for them or show them. I feel the teachers can utilize technology better in the class room by taking classes about what they are getting before the school year starts. If the teachers were to take classes about the knew technollogy they are getting there wouldn't be these problems where they have to trun to the kids asking them for help. Are any of your teachers like this? I've seen this happen so much for a few years, as technology is advancing it is getting harder for the teachers to use them. This is when teachers should learn about the technology before they actually use it, because when the teachers do not know how to use it, it takes away from the learning time from the kids because most of the time they have to sit there for a few minutes to figure out how to do a certian objective.

Teachers do not know how to use technology well, so in my opinion I think teachers should learn how to use it before they teach a class.
